It seems to me that the best people in life are always the earliest to leave. Evie was an exceptional human being, with a strength of spirit that lifted all around her, and an enormous capacity for humour and compassion. She touched people very deeply, and the world will truly be a poorer place without her.

I'm sitting, staring at the screen, seeing Evie as a delightful child, so aware, vibrant and tuned-in, as she always was, and finding it dreadfully hard to write about Evie in the past.Yes, Danny, we keenly felt her absence over Pessach, remembering last year's, and all the other holidays together. This condolence book is a very moving tribute.

I have only met and seen Evie once in my life. And I can say that she was one of the nicest most gentle people I think I have ever met. Evie will be missed.

My thoughts are with you all constantly. In addition to all the joy and laughter that Evie and I shared during years of precious friendship, we had both experienced the darkness of illness. I identified with her struggle and felt priveledged to share her thoughts, triumphs and frustrations. My memories of her are filled with warmth and love and appreciation for her constant ability to care for others despite her own hardships. I miss her desperately and share in the grief of the Bermant family and Steven. All my love to you.
