Two parent families are better than one, but try saying that in Britain

In the US, it is now widely accepted (on the left as well as the right) that married / two parent families cope better than single parent ones. But back in Britain, it is almost taboo to say such a thing. It doesn't matter how many studies bear this out, Britain's liberal elite are more worried about offending single parents than backing an institution that is better for our children.
